Missions
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. - Matthew 9:37-38
Every believer is a missionary, no matter if we are in the middle of Afghanistan or if we are grilling out with our neighbors. The exciting part of living a life on mission is to see where God will take us and who we will meet. We can all pray the old Franciscan prayer:
Lord, take me where you want me to go;
Let me meet who you want me to meet,
Tell me what you want me to say,
And then keep me out of the way.
The quickest way to fulfill the Great Commission is by forming surrendered, authentic communities of faith that reflect every culture and subculture across the globe. Therefore, we encourage missions that leave a lasting impact, ideally an indigenous representation of the church, so that God’s work may continue long after we are gone. We envision cities saturated with churches that reach the unreached, transform their communities, and reproduce both locally and globally.
Our NCI team has worked all over the world! We also partner with other churches and leaders in the U.S. and around the world to accelerate church multiplication. Through mobilizing the church we believe that we can transform the world! |
